Cross Fox in the Snow

This beautiful fox was in a frenetic hunt to find dinner one evening in the Sub-Arctic of northern Canada. He was constantly darting around looking for something to eat and was never in one spot for more than 1-2 seconds. Luckily he stayed nearby, and we were gifted with just a bit more light left when it started to snow. I waited patiently for just the right moment, trying to keep my hands from freezing to my camera. Then it happened...he popped over the hill and stopped for just a brief instant to observe something in the distance. I was so glad to have been poised and ready to capture this moment. And then, just like that, he was gone.
