Family Portrait
I know with a shot like this it can look like all I did was roll up and snap the shutter a few times. The truth is almost always more difficult than that. It was a very cold morning with little light, and we had been searching all morning for bears or other wildlife to photograph. Luckily, once we found this family trio, we only had to wait about an hour and a half for the cubs to wake up, and then for the three to all look in the same direction. I probably have several hundred shots (I’m scared to go look as it might be significantly more than that) from that morning where they were napping, or, one was looking up while the others were snoozing...but then it finally happened. Suddenly the cubs woke up and they all looked on with purpose, and I was just glad to have enough feeling left in my hands to get the shot. The dark sky over the ocean in the background made for a nice backdrop; I feel I got so lucky with the light and this scene. One of the highlights from my time in Churchill, Manitoba.

My print partner currently does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and Virginia (please contact me for options if you live in one of these states).
Standard shipping costs are covered by me and free to you.
Express shipping option available on most products, as seen during checkout.
All products are created after you order them.
Production time is approximately 1-2 business days.
Shipping time (US domestic) is typically 3-4 business days.
Please allow at least a week from the time you place the order until your print arrives.
You will receive a shipping notification with a tracking number.
Occasional peak ordering times and increased production demand can cause an increase in delivery times to you.
