Descent Into the Maze

In the most remote district of Canyonlands National Park, where the rugged terrain and sheer cliffs carve out a landscape of unparalleled beauty, lies the Maze District. Known for its labyrinthine canyons, towering hoodoos, and challenging terrain, it's a paradise for adventurers seeking the thrill of off-road driving. As my group navigated the rough road inward, a storm continued to roll in. It was a series of storms with short breaks of sunlight. As one of these breaks began to happen, I radioed to the vehicles ahead that I was going to take some time to take in this scene. I grabbed my tripod and camera, swapped in a longer focal length, and captured a series of seven images to create this panorama. I could have stayed at this spot for hours…maybe even days just trying to soak it all in. The more you look, the more you discover. But alas, with the hours getting late, and another storm approaching, I stowed the camera gear once more, and shifted back into drive to make my way to camp in the fading light.

Available in a variety of 3 x 1 panorama sizes and materials from $54
